tiny sores

hi my cat is experiencing tiny little bumps that are all over his body. there is still hair on them and they are very tiny but he licks and licks them and when i try and touch them he gets very defensive. I dont know what to do and im scared. Please help me.

I'd recommend taking him to the vet...could be allergies, could be mites or fleas...could be anything...get him to a vet so they can properly diagnose it and suggest treatment.

I agree that a vet visit would be in order. As Tina stated, it could be almost anything, fungal, bacterial, allergies, flea or mite bites, stress, and more.
Here is a link on various skin conditions that may interest you, but still only through poroper diagnostics will a vet be able to determine the cause and give treatment.
