Couple of new kitten questions

I have a few questions about this new kitten. Although, he is my 5th, its been a few years. First of all, when can kittens eat dry food? Secondly, 'Boo' has been staying on my glassed in porch until the vet visit (this afternoon) to make sure she is healthy to integrate with my other cats. The temperature is getting in the 50's out there at night, is that too cold? Last night, I kept her in my bathroom because I was afraid it would be too chilly out there for her. Thanks!
