A friend of ours buys the regular people vitamin, Brewer's Yeast, in powder form and sprinkles it ontop of her cat's food. One of her cats is on medication - not sure for what - but when she has to give him the pill, she dips her finger in the Brewer's Yeast, let's him have a lick, then dips again but first pops the pill in his mouth.
I know Brewer's Yeast is a B vitamin and I can understand the nutritional supplemental value for humans, but is this safe to give to cats? especially the people brand?
Thanks!

Re: Brewer's Yeast
I have several pet cookbooks because I like to make my own kitty and dog treats. A lot of the recipes call for brewer's yeast. I get it at the General Nutrition Center (GNC) store in town. It's only supposed to be a little bit for each batch though. Something like 2 teaspoons for 3 dozen cookies. So, it may not be bad in moderation.
