kittens eye and HELP
Re: kittens eye and HELP
Kelly, I believe I asked you in your first post about your vet's comments about kitten's injuries. Can you please tell me what he is telling you, and how he is treating the eye injury?
The e-collar is not going to hurt him, the purpose of the e-collar is to prevent him from shaking his head, using his claws to scratch. It's necessary in order for him to heal completely. Make sure it is not on too tight, you should be able to put two of your fingers between the e-collar (or the gauze string used to make a tie and bow) and kitten's neck, anything less and it is too tight.
Whenever you are concerned about something, Please, call your vet, it's his responsibility to oversee kitten's care and recovery.

I'm so glad he's feeling better! I'm sorry about the collar, but it's important that he doesn't scratch his bandages off. Does he have a name yet?
