Sammy weigh's 9.5 lbs and his vet wants him off kitten food. The problem is I have tried 4 different foods that he will not eat. My vet said that if he get's hungry enough he will eat it, but, Sammy has been under alot of changes and stress lately and I don't want to stress him out more. He is very active and you can still feel his ribs. He also only get's 1.5 cups a day, do you think that if I decrease it to 1 cup it will be ok untill things calm down with the kittens?

Have you tried gradually mixing in the adult food with his kitten food? That's what I usually do if they refuse to even consider a new food. Then gradually increase the amount of the new food until that's all he's eating.
