teaching old cats new tricks
Re: teaching old cats new tricks
I haven't posted in a while ... but my 8 year old big orange cat has diabetis and I give him insulin needles 2 times a day.
He has learned to jump up onto a chair when it is time for his needle (my back is sore and I can't bend down to the floor to needle him).
Food can be a powerfull teacher!!!
It only took him 2 days to learn this trick.

I wish every owner new this ! LOL“Dogs will work for free. They’re happy to please you,” Dale says. “Cats aren’t going to volunteer their time forever for nothing. They want to be paid, and they’re a bit less forgiving ... It has to be training where you’re being upbeat and the cat’s having a good time and being paid for it in the form of bite-size treats that are easy to swallow.”
