You are indeed a wonderful person to pursue getting to the root of Vest's problems and it sounds like you are doing whatever it takes to get your furbaby better.. Vest is so lucky to have you as his meowmie..

I admire your perservance..you are special..

Give that Vest and the rest of your furbabies a big hug and kiss from us, okay...

Awwwwwww, thank you LisaLisa. I think the vet is coming tomorrow to discuss this all further. Now to master how in the heck to get cats to eat seperated into different rooms in the house. Argh!

You're most welcomed Sara!! It's true.. Good luck with the vet tomorrow.

There was a time I separated Caz and Smokey during feeding time. (Alot less cats to deal with than your 6 furbabies) Initially it was bit difficult for Caz to eat alone, but then he would meow at me and run down the steps to his room when he was ready to eat. I talked to him, praised him for being so good (since he was the displaced kitty)..He loved it. We just developed a routine. If Smokey followed, I just picked him up and moved him to the kitchen (the usual feeding place)

I fed the boys in the morning while I was in the shower and then again in the evening. They had about 30-45 minutes during each time to eat. It took awhile They ate their food during that time frame. It took Caz a good month to get use to it..but he got it...needless to say, when feeding time was done, everything had to be picked up immediately.

I'm sure you'll find the tricks to make it work Sara...you seem to have that tenacity streak in you..

Give that Vest and your other furbabies a big hug and kiss from Smokey and Caz, okay..I hope Vest feels better.
Take care,
Lisa, Angel Smokey and little Caz

The separating Vest from the others for his HA food has been working. It's not easy but they are all getting used to the idea that they have 3 20 minute time frames per day to eat their food. At first they would hardly eat anything, I would put it back after 20 minutes and they would be hungry until the next feeding. I still wish they would eat more but I think they slowly will. The only thing is I now have another cat to separate. Negrito needs adult while the rest need the diet or the HA. I wonder how that will work? I am going to buy this on Tuesday when he goes in for his teeth cleaning. My vet said he lost a bit of weight because he did not like the HA food when I was feeding it to all of them and because his teeth need cleaning again. For some reason him and Mona need their teeth cleaned allot even though they are young.

My vet is going to try and find another brand of HA food for Vest because he does not like the Hills and we are trying to decide whether or not to try the allergy injections where they inject small amounts of the allergins he is allergic to over a period of time to build up a natural immunity.

Has anybody tried this?

Here's something i saw on the net that may halp...
We're thinking of getting one ourselves.
It's suppose to ionize the air.
They have a whole bunch at the place we go for facials and they're really really refreshing not to mentionm very very pretty.

Sorry, Yzma, I'd be leary of any company promoting the term "bioenergotherapists" and who claim these things "assist in the treatment of many health conditions."

There's no one product on the market on earth that can assist or treat or cure "many" health conditions. This is a common ploy of most homeopaths, to make a claim that one substance, herb, product, whatever, has the ability to work magic for so many things.

Well i guess the best thing is to take everything with a 'pinch of salt'... I doubt that they do any of the stuff the things they claim to do for asthma and health etc, but i do think that they may help to ionize the air to some extent.
