*UPDATE* Cat Vomiting Bile & Other Stuff, WBC in Urine
Re: Cat Vomiting Bile & Other Stuff, WBC in Urine
Actually, in a vomiting cat, as bland a diet as possible is preferred, for absorption and digestibility. Smaller meals, more often, is also helpful. If you overfeed him or allow him to gorge, the vomiting is going to continue.
I'm surprised your vet didn't suggest a bland diet.

She suggested it for my last cat that had a problem around x-mas.
She said that at the moment she's not sure that it's diet related. So I suppose that's why she did not recommend a bland diet at this point. '
He's not being over fed, and he's not gorging.

She's not sure it's dietary related, yet she knows he's vomiting, and she knows it's a problem. The most appropriate thing to have done was advise a bland diet, fed in small portions, monitor the cat to see if he could keep it down, adjust the diet accordingly, pending on further diagnostics.

I do apolgize, i did read the house rules and from what it said that there would be no arguing about this topic. I didnt think anyone here was argueing. Was just asking what was being fed and stating what i was feeding. Never the less I will not comment again about it. I will just email or pm if nessesary with my qeustions. Thank you for letting me know that i missread.

Tage has done fine over night, he's still in isolation. Appeared to keep his breakfast down, and ate it with in the normal period of time.
No other updates yet though, should have more tomorrow.

Ok, I just spoke with the vet, and got the results of his tests. I'm going to be bringing in his fecal tonight, and we will also do a urine culture at that time to see some results. She said they might have seen some rare crystals in his urine but she thinks they were just artifacts.

Re: *UPDATE* Cat Vomiting Bile & Other Stuff, WBC in Uri
Looks like your kitty's urine is either slightly or mildly acidic, which may predispose to triple phosphate crystals or calcium oxalates and should be ruled out by careful examination of sediment.
Some of these results could also indicate infection and/or inflammation, whether that is due to newly forming crystals, scar tissue or bacterial infection, your vet needs to find out. And, believe it or not, diet plays a role in managing pH, talk to your vet about it.

Traci:
I know that diet plays a roll on the pH. 6.5 is on the acidic size, 7.0 is "neutral".
The doctor took a look into the diet today, another one of her patients a dog (with unrelated issues) is on the same food so it sparked her interest even more. She said that everything looked good, and of proper perportions, the fat content was just slightly high but she was not too concerned about it at this time.
She doesn't feel right now that the diet is the culprit, still possible but not her first guess.
His fecals are very hard, all of my cats are, and I'm doing what I can to get them to consume water a home, though they just don't seem interested.
They are running the urine culture so I'll know the results of that later.
What the doctor is contemplating the most right now is IBS, she does not think it's Hepatic Lipidosis, which I did address with her again.
Tages urine and feces out put has been normal still, and no further vomiting today.

Angelzoo glad to hear that he is doing better. Keep in contact with the vet so you find out what the culture says.
