Well.... before i go on, you should double check with your vet before you start them on this chicken thing and see what he says. Our vet took the line of: it won't hurt to try it, and see what happens. She didn't necessarily say that it would work...
Ok. You need to boil or steam defatted, deskinned chicken breast. I generally steam it in my steamer until it's cooked then i mince it(*).
According to this link
http://www.talktothevet.com/ARTICLES/CA ... ultcat.HTM
The average adult cat needs 30calories per pound of body weight a day.
According to the protein counter book
2oz of chicken breast without skin stewed gives you 86 calories.
So i guess in my case i'll need to weigh my chicken portions out according to their respective weights which range from 3kg to 5kg. But in your case your kitten might need more calories per pound of body weight so you could just let her eat as much as she can in two sittings, morning and evening for two days and then back to regular cat food.
(*)I usually add some peas or carrots, but i steam those separately to make sure they are really really soft and cooked. Then i separate it all into very small containers and pop them in the freezer and every few days or so i take one out and defrost it and give them a treat. But i think for the purpose of hardeing the stool, it would be best to just stick with the chicken.

Re: More Scooting From Mythie!
Thanks Yzma. Sounds easy enough. I might wait and see if it works for you first though. And talk to my vet in the meantime. Keep me posted.
