Well, 350.00 is not bad for an amputation (if it comes to that), not bad at all.

Traci, thanks for the more complete explanation of the new process. I'm glad to have the TNR correction - don't know where I got the other idea...probably because of all the confusion after Katrina. Although my cat Pinto was not a storm rescue (he came from a little town just east of here) he was neutered by PetsMart the old-fashioned way and put up for adoption in early February of '06 when he was about 10 months old.

Tambrey, I so admire what you have done (and are doing) for Tripod. It is good to know he is at least "off the streets" and eating well. Wish my neighbors and I could do the same for our little yellow feral. He IS fed and watered and this is a rather secluded apartment complex. He has survived several injuries on his own - of course not as serious as Tripod's - and seems basically healthy so far. We are in touch with TNR people but must be v*e*r*y careful about how we ask them to get involved, for fear Management will step in and go the other route... :x
