hmm well despite what you insist, it certainly does sound like you are judging me.
while i do thank you for your advice i remind you it was just that-advice. none of you know my cat better than i do, and i am not ignorant or heartless in this, so i have my cat's best interests at heart. before even posting here i had done research and came to the same conclusions you did. however i still posted here hoping to find more insight.
i was sadly disappointed. i was even surprised when you were offended at me not following your instructions. i am able to make informed decisions and did just that.
i would like to advise future newcomers to think critically about everything they read here.
congratulations, you have managed to drive a educated pet owner away from your forums with your intimidation tactics and trolling.

Re: recently declawed kitty in great discomfort
Why anyone would spend any amount of time on the net "researching" when you could have spent that time more wisely for your cat by calling your vet and getting her re-evaluated and ENSURED her paws are ok, is beyond me!
The only troll here is you. You already knew beforehand what you should have done, yet, you didn't, and wasted more time while your kitty was in pain. And, the advice you got was well-intended, spoken with volumes of experience, had you researched just alittle more, you would have found a page on this site about declawing aftercare, which specifically warns against not getting cats re-evaluated when there are problems post declaw.
But, I'm sure you have kitty's best interests at heart.

Since you have obviously not taken kitty to dr. nor called them at least from your lack of answering if kitty was taken or not and only feel the need to tell us how judging we are about what you asked then I will assume you have everything you need to help your kitty and wish you the best of luck with this. Like I said it doesn't matter if you declawed or not, even if it was just a spay/neuter your kitty was in pain and needed your vets attention and that is what we were concerned with and tried to stress when we said kitty should be taken to vet asap. YOu said yourself you werent going to spend the money on a recheck and it was clarified that a recheck usually is at no charge. Again we don't know since you hadn't stated if you did call vet or not. Everything else is moot at this point.
Good luck with your kitty and I do hope that if there is something wrong that you see the need to seek a Vet's opinion and not waste precious time surfing on the internet for advice that you clearly wont even try. We can only suggest you seek a Vet's opinion we can not take you there ourselves.
Hugs to kitty hope all works out well. This will be my last post for this as it is clear that nothing else will come of this.
