As I stated before, I am in Australia and we do not have a great variety of prescription diets. So my kitty it is pretty much on hill's or hill's!!! My cat is is eating the hill's but is having a little cooked chicken on the side (a very small amount) to ensure that he is eating enough for his weight. I would rather him have a little plain cooked chicken on the side than to starve or to have off the shelf supermarket brands that are going to be harmful to him. This has been recommended for my kitty. He is not in poor health at all and he simply showing very normal leves for kdineys in a cat of his age. This is purely preventative. My vet has done a great job of taking care of his health for almost 10 years now, and this has included overcoming lead poisoning, so I will go with their recommendations as myself and the vet know my kitty best!
