Cleo, all kitties are fine except for Gimlet with the hip surgery. And yes Margarita is a girl. Mojito is your typical friendly big orange boy. He's going to be a big boy And he's getting neutered today. Poor little guy.
Kitty kisses,
Debbie

WOW isn't that kind of rare to have a ginger girl?

It is supposed to be rare, but they are becoming much more common, some are all-over ginger, orange or yellow tabby, some have white markings or other markings, etc.

She's the fourth orange female foster I've had. Boys are more prevalent, but there are quite a number of girls.

Gimlet is doing well. We took her out of the crate last night and gfave her access to just the sdpare room. We put her brother Mojito in the crate as he was just neutered during the day. They were fairly quiet for a while. I then went in and laid on the cot to go to sleep. Gimlet was on top of me but too wobbly for me to feel comfortable falling asleep with her on me. Mojito was clamering to be let out of the crate. Gimlet kept trying to get up to the crate. I finally took him out of the room and left the room myself and went to bed.
This morning she is doing fine. I've actyually stopped trying to give her the pain meds as she won't swallow and doesn't seem to be too hindered by the surgery at all. She still needs to wear the cone though. This will be a long two weeks before she gets that thing off!
Kitty kisses,
Debbie

I'm so glad to hear she is doing so well, since she's so young, recovery will be somewhat quicker for her.

Thanks for being such a wonderful meowmy!
