No, neither have indicated that the hypercalcemia was a result of the crystals, and with my limited knowledge I wouldn't think it was the case either since the crystals resolved but the elevated calcium has not resolved. Additionally, the number of CaOx crystals was relatively small to begin with.

As if I need any more stress/trouble/issues...Chunk has stepped up his game in "Attack The Lucy!" It's never really a vicious attack but darn he is persistent. I wonder if part of it is due to my stress and all that is going on with Doc, not to mention all he has went through. On top pf that he has taken to licking the curtains. Yes, licking the curtains! He has always had a propensity for licking/chewing/eating plastic (yes we keep all plastic alway from him but if you come in with a plastic bag his eyes light up!)

What gives? And why can't I catch a break? (that's rhetorical...ha ha)

I'll bet he is in fact, feeling your stress, and you've certainly had enough of it. That said, given his condition as well, you really have to nip it in the bud and try to keep Chunk's stress level reduced as well. Remember, stress is a precursor to UTI's and crystal formation.

Keep a close eye on him.

Definitely keeping a close eye on him. I try to distract him when he gets bad about it. And I'm doing my best to keep my stress level at a minimum, especially when I am at home, but it isn't always easy. I'm trying to do play sessions with him every day but I've just been so out of it lately that sometimes I don't think about it. I'm wondering if the squirt bottle method would work for his Lucy chases? They seem to follow certain time patterns. Late afternoon and middle of the night - he always chases her out of the bedroom if she comes in during the night. The only time she is able to get by him is just before day break. Maybe he is just too tired to notice by then? He's also been sleeping very close (if not on top) of me since all this has been going on. I feel bad that I have to nudge him off sometimes but he is just too big and has too much weight for me to comfortably bear!

The reason I have cloth curtains is because he chews the damn hell out of blinds!! I swear he's part dog.

You can use the squirt bottle, but only when you catch him in the act. Otherwise, try to devote a bit more time with him, maybe he's feeling left out lately and is taking out his frustrations.
