post p/u dirty issues

Post by jason »

rocky is quickly getting a dirty bottom since he has an e-collar and cannot clean himself. is there something i could do (other than look the other way) to help in this area?

perhaps some water (or ??) and a rag?

If you mean urine, you can use a cotton ball dipped in 1/2 hydrogen peroxide/ 1/2 water and gently clean the area that way. If you mean feces, you can use simple baby-wipes (aloe or sensitive skin). If it's really bad, you can rinse him in the sink or tub but be careful around suture areas................Traci

bath tub...that's really funny....rocky is the most tolerant cat i have ever met, but he draws the line when it comes to that. (java draws the line a bit earlier)

anyhow, seems to be a mixture of the two, so i will try the hydrogen/water solution. thanks.

If it isn't urine but bm, you can use cornstarch to help remove it. Sprinkle just a little bit and gently groom him,
