Re: Urinary question

Post by Traci »

Thank you for posting an update!! Hopefully, the change in litter is all it was, but please keep an eagle eye on her, and watch for any symptoms of illness, such as straining to urinate or defecate, painful urination/defecation, small or hard stools, urinating in unusual places, only being able to produce small amounts of urine, blood in the urine, crying out, painful abdomen, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.

We can't stress enough how important it is to keep cats indoors only. Please revisit the link Tina posted above. Since Charlie is 12 years of age, at some point, she may lose some of her ability to see and hear optimally, and when outside, may not be able to find her way back home/inside if her senses are diminished. Not to mention the numerous hazards for cats allowed outdoors. It only takes one time, a split second, for a cat to suffer some demise. Please, keep her indoors only.
