The cyclosporine in fact can be compounded, however, if she is insistent upon the time-release version, this is probably why. Otherwise, cyclosporine IS available in liquid form, the vet would simply have to adjust the dose, perhaps to a low dose in the morning, a low dose in the evening. I suspect she's worried about bioavailability, since the liquid form is probably not time-released (which would necessitate the twice daily dosing). There's generally always a work-around with most drugs, we just have to be careful and adjust dosing when necessary. Cyclosporine isn't a drug intended to be given long-term so Logan most likely won't be on it for too long.
Nonetheless, I'm really glad she was willing to work with you and get the liquid suspension, this will be so much easier on Logan and you.
He's still weak, hasn't had a lot of nutritional support yet, hence stumbling when he's up and about. He'll increase his energy reserves and start gaining weight and muscle mass as he receives nutrition and calories in the long term.
The grinding of teeth could be due to dehydration, and/or nausea. It should only be temporary. Just remember to administer his food/water very slowly to help prevent vomiting.
Double-check the medication schedule, since most can be given near or at feeding time, but it is recommended for the cyclosporine to be given on an empty stomach (i.e., an hour or two before food, or an hour or two after food). This is, of course, dependent upon your vet's direction, not mine.
Take it one day at a time, it's obvious Logan is happier to be home. How is Penelope taking this?

it no longer matters...
after a strong vomit around 2pm, and then an attempting medication at around 4, somewhere, somehow, logan went into a rapid decline and shortly thereafter he passed under care of the emergency doctor with us there.

I'm so, so, so sorry to hear this... poor little guy. You fought so hard and did everything you could for him. You really gave him a chance. I'm so truly sorry you had to say goodbye.

OMG, I am so very very sorry, I was so hoping he was on the road to recovery, I can't believe this was so sudden. I'm crying as I try to write this.
I cannot find the words to convey how deeply and sincerely sorry I feel, my heart is just breaking into a million pieces for Logan and you. Please know you did everything in your power that you could possibly do, you went above and beyond for Logan, and I know he knew that, felt your compassion and dedication, and your ultimate love for him.
******TEARS****** Safe and gentle journey, sweet sweet Logan, you will be so very very missed....

Re: Kitten with mystery illness - definitely anemic...
Thank you so much for the support from both the cat forums I am on. Especially to you Traci, for the continuing tireless and selfless effort you put in to giving us an amazing amount of information. My wife and I always said Logan has a team, like on House- primary care, emergency care, and online Traci care at 1am giving us information.
I've owned a lot of different pets in my life, but this was my first kitten (along with penelope). Logan (and Penelope too) - was something different. He really was an amazing kitten with a personality beyond anything I've seen before. In just a few days at emergency care he was SO loved by everyone there. They all had stories of him.
I can't express how heavy our hearts are, and how painful it is.
Thank you again so very much. We can't express how important you are and how amazing you are. If we can ever help anyone, just message us.

This is my job, it's what I do, my life is put simply, cats - they are my passion. No thanks are necessary, although appreciated all the same. I just so wanted to be able to help Logan and you, I know just how special Logan was to you, I know how much you wanted to help him and see him thrive and be his special little kitten self again. It felt as if I was right there with you, helping you through it all. And I feel blessed that you shared a part of his life with us.
While the pain is overbearing right now, try to focus on the good times, the happy times you had with Logan. Know that you were as special to him as he was to you. I am so thankful he had such wonderful parents in his life, even though he was taken too soon.
Give little Penelope a lot of attention, she needs you. You need her, too.
