Hi Traci,

I agree, I am getting impatient. I didn't expect to have heard from him today as I know he wanted to get some opinions from peers as well--but--having not heard from him I am growing anxious.

I wonder if it is worth trying to treat for an inner ear infection while we wait for the specialist? This again could be my anxiety talking, along with wanting her to hear again asap and not have to undergo another anesthestic procedure.

If I do not hear from Dr. by the morning I am going to call myself. I am scared of waiting too long and having a treatable issue turn permanent.

That's a tough call, I personally wouldn't treat with anything unless/until you've had a complete exam, etc. (some drops, for example, might be contraindicated).
