My cats wont go outside becuase of other cats

If you are still reading our messages, this happened 30 years ago, but educated me as to the dangers outside. I had 2 inside/outside cats, and a neighbor came running to me about Tigger....she thought he was very hurt. Cats seek warm places, like car engines, and someone started their car without knowing a cat was in there, and it was injured badly by the fan blade. It looked like Tigger, but was not. After that, my cats adjusted very well to an indoor only life. And I learned to honk the horn before starting the car!

That scenario right there has been one of my worst nightmares for a long time. My own cats aren't in any danger because they're indoors only, but there are always so many outdoor cats and I'm terrified of any of them getting injured by our car. It's a terrible way to go.
