I am so sorry to hear this and am sending hugs your way. I know well the empty house feeling, but Stoffie will stay in your heart forever.

I am sorry. It is so, so bad when we have to let them go, and for awhile it doesn't even seem to help much to try thinking of the good times... but eventually it will: that's part of what makes sharing our lives with pets worthwhile. You are in my thoughts as you go through this stage. He was a wonderful cat!

Thank you, everyone, from the bottom of my heart. Your thoughts, words and prayers are more comforting that I can possibly convey. We are doing relatively okay, although the pain creeps up on me when I least expect it! I know that's normal and I just have a good cry. I see Stoffie everywhere, doing all his favourite things and it hurts. But I've written a journal about him, put up some pictures and have had some good laughs with my husband about some of Stoffie's antics over the years. We have some fabulous memories - he had such character! - and those are what we're concentrating on now.
I know he's waiting with Chloe, our much loved and missed golden retriever, who left us in 2006, on the Rainbow Bridge and we'll see them both, painfree, someday.
So thank you all. You have helped immensely and I am sincerely grateful.

I am so sorry or your loss of Mr. Mistoffelees  I know how hard it is, I've seen two of my cats take the journey in the last two years. I'm glad you were able to be with him at his last moments....

Stoffie's Mom, I'm glad you are writing a journal and keeping pictures near you, it doesn't take the pain away but it will lessen in time. Stoffie will always be with you, that bond can never be broken, ever. It sounds like he was so special and unique, I'm so glad you had him in your life.
