Well even dips aren't always the answer, I always recommend topicals like miconazole, you can see results this way, and there is no mess, and the cat doesn't have to put up with the *** dips! Also, many owners (and vets, still, if you can believe that), still think that clipping or shaving affected areas works. It does NOT and only serves to make matters much much worse. Unless it is such a severe case that shaving is necessary to actually get to the infected area with treatment, which would be rare.
