little box problems

Post by Angelawired »

My new kitty Topaz has a problem with the litter box. She is de-clawed and is around 1 or 2 years old. She has recently seen a vet so I don't think its a medical problem. She uses the littler box for urination but not for pooping. She doesn't do it around the house but just right in front of the litter box. I know she is trying to tell me something but I don't know what. Does any one have any advice?

"Recently been to the vet but don't think a medical problem".

Was bloodwork done? A urinalysis? Thorough exam? Any changes in the home recently? What type litter are you using, and is the box kept scooped, cleaned on a regular basis?

In addition to what Traci said, maybe a different location or even a second box would be of help, possibly a bigger box as well. I hope you get this sorted out soon.
Kitty kisses,
Debbie
