Many countries have quarentine regulations for animals coming into the country. You may want to check the laws for the area you are going to. I have traveled many thousands of miles by car with many cats & I find that even the ones that freak out completely at first, while eventualy settle & enter what I can only refer to as a "catatonic state" (no pun intended.) They give up an accept it & try to sleep through most of the event, even if it take 4+ days. Even cats that fought each other constantly, curled up & slept together like old pals! Careful not to let them get loose at any point, because they will very likely bolt & never be seen again. I once had a cat get up inside the battering fabric under a bed in a hotel room. We thought that that it had snuck outside somehow because it was silent & no where to be seen. Nearly had a heart attack because it was my boss's cat that I was transporting across country! Whew!! Glad I didn't have to explain that one.
