Well let's see what happens with the diabetes test results. I am really hoping they come back negative. I am also going to see if i can track down a cat specialist. My confidence in both the vets i have been to is a little on the low side....

Again, need to stress the importance of testing BOTH the blood glucose AND the urine glucose to confirm diabetes either way.

the new vet said that we could drop off a urine sample for testing. i won't be able to do that this week but i will do that as soon as possible. hopefully the other tests will be back by then.

Remember when we talked about getting urine samples before.....make sure they are fresh and uncontaminated, taken to the vet for testing immediately. Ideally, both tests need to be done together, the same day, for more accurate results.

Thanks! I don't know if i want to get her tested again so soon. Today at the vet they took quite a large vial of blood and they shaved her etc.... she didn't make a peep even though she was shaking a leaf... she's such a good cat! Will keep you posted!
