Question about excessive drinking for a friend of mine..

Hey all it has been a while since I have posted, but all has been well with Baxter and I and hopefully all of you!

I have a friend with a kitty that seems normal but he thinks might be drinking water a bit much. She has a vet appt setup for early next week but just out of curiosity we were wondering how much is too much for her? I know Traci told me once before of a measurement / lb of cat but I can't remember what it was. Thanks all!

Here is the post regarding water intake.

If kitty is sitting by the water dish more than usual, is drinking more than usual, and is urinating more than usual, don't wait for next week, advise your friend to get kitty in to the vet immediately. Primary rule outs would be diabetes, renal disease, or urinary tract infection.
