Cat keeps getting sick

Post by PLUMMER »

For about 3 days now has been getting sick with no hairballs and a green liquid. We feed her Meow Mix indoor cat hard food. She seems very lethargic has no pep. Was just laid off for the first time in my liife and would hate to have to take her to the vet anything I can try or look for before I take her in? Thanks, Andy

She needs to see a vet, and RIGHT NOW. Any time there are persistent symptoms, demands a vet visit immediately. The excessive vomiting needs to be addressed, since she is most likely dehydrated, which can turn serious in a matter of days and start affecting vital organ function. Her lethargy is a red flag something is wrong (could be toxin, could be nearly anything, only a vet can determine that). You can't "diagnose" this, you MUST get her to a vet, emergency vet immediately, RIGHT THIS MINUTE!

My daughter gave my wife a azalea for her birthday on Thursday I'm starting to think she ate some of that since that was in the house for three days. My research has found it is toxic.......Thanks, Andy

No time for rsearch (although that plant IS toxic), your kitty needs to see an emergency vet NOW, TONITE. If plant toxin, most plants can send a cat into acute renal failure, the sooner it is detected and agressively treated, the better the outcome. Even if it isn't a toxic plant, there are numerous other things this can be..the point is that when your cat suddenly is ill, you should NOT wait ...get her to an ER vet NOW!

Yes there was no need to wait this long for a vet. Get the cat to the vet right now. Please you have no clue unless you get there.
