I posted last week about a barn cat with a really swollen ear. Thanks to all that replied! The owner finally came back on Friday, and apparently got my frantic messages and took the cat right to the vet. I haven't heard yet what the problem was (probably hematoma), but the kitty was gone all weekend and back at the barn yesterday with a vet-quality bandage on her ear, so I know she was taken care of!!
This cat should really be a house cat, and she reminds me a lot of my one cat who I had to put to sleep at Christmas, so I was really concerned for her.
Thanks again, everyone!

Thank you for caring
Thank you for caring about the little girl. I'm glad her owner had her seen by a vet and I hope her ear will heal well. I agree, it would be great if all kitties could just be kept inside. Just the other day a very adorable and friendly orange cat was in the carport out back. He (and I do mean "he") had a collar on....no tags, just the collar. Seemed a bit pointless to me to put a collar on a cat with no tags, but he seemed healthy and taken care of enough.
But again, thanks for caring so much about your visitor!
