I have 3 cats now. One 3yrs.old. One 1yr. and one about 8 months old.
I keep them mainly in the house but I do have a cat fence in my backyard. In the spring they loved going out. They didn't even want to come in when it got real hot.
However, right beyond our woods, they are building apartment houses.
They are making a lot of noise with equipment, etc.
Since they started building they do not want to go outside. They act like they're really scared. They will go out some when it gets dark, but even then, I have to force them.
Also some men came to cut some trees and this terrified them too.
I really wish I could get them out of the house. It's hard to keep three animals in.
Does anyone have a suggestion of any kind?

I also agree that indoors only is best. If the cats dont want to go outside anymore dont force them. You will terrify them and if they get spooked they will run and you will never get them back. Cats dont like change at all unless they have a hand in it. If the cats arent whining to get out then leave them be. If for some reason you are so inclinded to MAKE them go out you really SHOULD use a leash. Contruction means danger and your cats are telling you they dont feel safe out there. Be responsible and keep them in. If they are acting bored then get a scratch tree or jungle gym for them you can find them at pet store or ebay cheaper. Also please make sure your cats have been fully tested and vacinated for ALL diseases. This is also a responsibilty you have if you let them go outside. Also make sure they have a defense against flees and ticks.
