Hello,
Our cat has been diagnosed with kidney deficiency. He is male, 10 yrs old in good shape. The vet recommended a carbohydrate diet which he refuses to eat. He is definitively preferring a meat-based diet. 2 years ago he had a bladder infecction (blocked cat) and he had to be catetherized and treated with antibiotics.
No medication was recommended, but we started giving him potassium and "ROWAtinex" > (for kidney and urinary disorders)
Can anyone give us some advise on wether or not to follow the vet's dietary reccomendation, maybe a meat-based diet not that bad?
Can the treatment for kidney deficiency provoke more bladder problems?
If you have similar experience or know something on the topic we'd appreciate you writing back...

could you possible get another term rather than
kidney deficiency and maybe a blood (bun or creat reading) and a little bit on the urinalysis...its is too far up in the air, at least for me, without a little more info---but tentativly i would follow your vets present advice....sorry
