earwigs, other creepies & my 4 mos. old kitten
Lucky Ginger loves chasing & catching insects in our home. He'd stalk & eat them all day long, if he could! I think it's great that he's so diligent on pest control, but I'm also concerned about the possibility of Ginger picking up bacteria from the bugs. Is this possible? I'm not sure if it's better to let him catch & eat them, or to head out and buy pesticide for the indoors (not something I'm big on either). We're not infested (that I know of) but we do have the odd fly, ant, and even...ew...earwigs! What's the best way to go about this and protect my cat from illness?

Don't use pesticides in your home.
Look for cracks and crevices in your home and block them, check windows and screens for holes, look under sink and toilet pipes, etc for holes, etc.
Don't let your kitten eat bugs, some of them are parasites, they are health hazards (since they usually feed on garbage, filth, etc), and some of them sting or bite which can be painful.
