You are right, I guess it is more of me thinking if I do not know then she will be fine:( I am going to wait 2 more weeks, this would be a month, and then have her tested. I did read also you should have tested again about 12 weeks after. Thanks for the input, and I will let you guys know.

Here is a pic of my boy Zeek 3 days before we had to PTS, with his buddy Max (one of our German Shepherds)...They were best buddies:) He looks so good in this pic, it is so hard to believe he was so sick just 3 days later:(

It's amazing how fast FeLV+ kitties can go downhill. I had 2 and they both just crashed hard. They held on for quite a while and I always wonder if I should have let them go sooner but...what's done is done. I agree with Traci, you need to know if your other kitty is FeLV+. You have to keep a close eye on him also to make sure he isn't coming down with anything. Also, discuss your decision with your vet should your kitty turn up FeLV+. There are quite a few vets that still believe that they should be euthanized on the spot and also quite a few that are uncomfortable treating FeLeuks or don't really understand the disease. It's entirely possible that your other cat could live quite a while still. It seems that cats that get it when they're older seem to have an easier time fighting off secondary infections. We have three FeLeuks in my rescue, all between 1-3 years old. They get retested periodically as we always sit there and wonder why they never get sick. One came down with calici recently and the mouth ulcers were cleared up in less than a week. Definately discuss things with your vet and keep us updated on it.
