is my cat naturally small?

Friends have commented that my mother cat is tiny and have asked whether she might have worms. She is tiny and thin but eats healthy and she doesn't go outside so i don't see how it could be worms. She hasn't been eating prey as she shows no interest in hunting. Her litter she came from has some small cats in it, her own kitten is a bigger and more filled out. she has always been on the small size but i just noticed how small. any ideas?

Since we're not able to see her, it's impossible for any of us here to tell you. A veterinary exam/checkup is important however, because you need to determine if she may be underweight, which could be detrimental to her health. If she's never been to a vet, dewormed by a vet before, you need to get her examined promptly. (do not take it upon yourself to deworm her, as most over-the-counter dewormers, etc are useless and some are actually fatal to cats). Your vet can do a fecal exam to help determine if she may actually have worms, but it's important she is examined to determine her overall health status.

I remember your earlier posts, neither of your cats had been spayed. Are they now? If not, get this done immediately...at the time, we outlined the risks involved with not spaying your cats.
