No, I mean only a comb. Will she allow that? Many cats like to be combed. Have you tried it?

yes her fur is long aand soft like a rabbits fur.lol. did you get the pics?
and i just called an all cat vet two actually and one said dont put frontline on because kittens dont always know where the nipple is and they might suckle in the wrong spot.
and the other vet said no to frontline but get a catstar pill..? have you ever heard of that one? she said that was safe while she was nursing

It's Capstar, and I wouldn't use it at all.

Since you've talked to two other vets now, you know that you can use a flea comb for both mother and kittens. You have to remember, that if there is a heavy flea infestation in any of the newborns or the mother, it could lead to fatal anemia, this is a very serious condition in tiny young kittens, and it can be fatal within a matter of days...so watch them carefully, and use the comb as instructed to you earlier.

I HAVE BEEN GIVING MAMA CAT GARLIC AND BREWERS YEAST TABLETS THAT HELP PREVENT ANEMIA....THE MOTHER "WILL NOT" LET ME USE A COMB ON HER THAT HAS BEEN MY PROBLEM FROM THE BEGINING.

Oh, okay. In that case you will have to vacuum daily, and change their beddings daily, and then look through their fur. If you see any fleas try to pick them out (difficult, they JUMP!!). Don't know what else to advice you. Maybe the babies will at least allow you to comb them (without soap or anything) once they get a little bit more robust.

DO NOT ever give garlic to cats, it can cause fatal heinz body anemia....both it and the brewer's yeast are totally ineffective against fleas.

You need to use ONLY the flea comb on the mother and kittens, even if she doesn't like it, it is vital that NO flea infestation is a risk for either her or her newborns.

I APPLIED FRONTLINE ON THE MOTHER AFTER CALLING THE COMPANY.
THAT WAS 5 DAYS AGO..EVERYONE IS FINE.
WELL FLEA FINE IM FINDING A LOT OF DEAD FLEAS IN THE NEST.
MAMA....WELL SHE SEEMS HUNGRY 24-7 SHES DRIVING ME CRAZY.
SHE EATS 3 CANS OF FOOD A DAY..EGG YOLKS,DRINKS LOTS OF WATER, DRY CAT FOOD. BUT SHES HUNGRY 24-7.
THE OTHER DAY BEFOR THE FRONTLINE SHE HAD RUNNY STOOLS, SHES REAL GASSY...OH GOD .SHE WALKS AROUND THE HOUSE MEWING FOR NO APPARENT REASON.
IM GOING INSANE.
ONE OF HER KITTENS IS SMALLER THAN THE REST. I CAN FEEL HIS HIP BONES WHERE AS ON THE OTHERS I CANT
AFTER HE EATS HIS STOMACH DOSENT FEEL LIKE HE HAS.
HE NUSE'S FROM THE SAME TEET, A TEET THAT SEEMS TO BE EMPTY. OR BARELY ANYTHING IN IT.....................

Please get that kitten to a vet. It is obviously mal nourished. The vet might tell you to bottle feed it and show you how. Don't wait with this, kittens can die rather quickly. Did you try putting on another teet?

Get the mother kitty and ALL her kittens to a vet ASAP...she is obviously not healthy and may not be able to produce enough milk for them, only your vet can determine that. He can also recommend an appropriate diet to feed the mother (such as a high quality kitten food, do NOT feed her raw foods, eggs, etc!) The littlest one may not be getting enough, in which your vet can teach you how to supplement him by bottle-feeding, etc.

DO NOT wait on this, your cat and kittens need to be seen by your vet immediately.
