Lump in groin area ???

My Mom's cat has a grape-sized lump in his groin area. She thought it might be a hernia so she took him to the vet right away. He withdrew some fluild from it & told her it was a fatty deposit & to keep an eye on it, but not to worry about it.

Grape-sized sounds large, but Lako is a very big cat.

Ever seen or heard of this ???

When he aspirated it, did he also send it in for a pathology? If not, I would seek a second opinion and make absolutely certain the fluid is sent off for pathology.
