The day my mother's beloved Imp (a black lab) died, she returned from the sad trip to the vet to find an odd mix of beagle, corgi, and a bit of basset hound sitting on her front porch. They had never seen him in the neighborhood before. He had been badly abused (burn marks on his ears and such) but still friendly. He became her beloved Buddy (named after her very first dog) and out lives her to this day. And though, sadly, he had to have his eyes removed (yeah I know, it makes me wince too) he lives happily on keeping my 85 year old dad young. So yes, I think sometimes it does work that way.
However I think I best withhold judgement for now. If these guys end up being the bane of my existence, what then did Mini cat wish on me
just kidding!
Trying to make that decision or not
Re: Trying to make that decision or not
I just read the posts after being offline for a while. I was so touched by Mini's story. I am so so sorry for your loss. Power to you for taking in the "unadoptables." As everyone on this site knows, they will give you so much love and gratitude in return. Bless you.
