We have 2 male kittens, 8 & 10 mos, adopted at the same time from the same shelter, both neutered.
Our little boy has had a problem with urinating on our bed and in the laundry basket while I'm doing the wash. We took him to the vet about 3 weeks ago (no problems), tried feliway, and got one of those self cleaning boxes and the problem seemed to go away.
In the past week, he has begun to act very strangely. He stands in the doorways from room to room when we are trying to pass and Meows at us (almost a yelling sort of noise). However, when we pick him up he squirms away. We give him constant attetion - always try to pet or hold him when he climbs in our lap our Meows. He has fresh food and water all the time, but he still sits on the counter by his food and Meows at us. He pushes his food out of the bowl and on to the floor. When we try to restrain him from doing something (chewing on a pen, getting tangled in computer wires, etc.) he runs into the bedroom and urinates.
Is he really throwing temper tantrums?! why? The other kitten is a perfect angel and the two get along fine! If I cant help him, Im afraid we will have to find him a new home! I'd hate to lose him or seperate them.

Re: Strange Kitty Behavior
Could you please use the search function and use key words "kitten behavior".....you'll find many posts on similar issues. Time, patience, forgiveness, and being keenly aware of what's going on in his environment will be your answer.
What are you feeding him? Did the vet check his mouth and gums for any sign of problems that could prevent him from eating his food? If you're feeding kibble, it could be too hard for his teeth at this age.
Urinating on your bed, crying out for attention, not interested in his food are all signs he is trying to get your attention to some other matter. Did your vet run a urinalysis to rule out possible urinary tract infection? If not, I would find out about that right away. Even though you had him examined three weeks ago, doesn't mean he couldn't be developing a health issue now....might be a good idea to get a re-check.
Don't let him have access to the laundry basket....clothes and such are prime targets for any kitty to urinate on.

We are feeding him kibble. but thats what he has been eating for months. He does eat, but he also throws his food all over the floor - a recent development.
Went to the vet, No UTI. The laundry baskets are off limits - he doesnt do that anymore.
I am more concerned about the abnormal crying and vindictive behavior.
will check the search - thank you
