Cat Nip

At what age is it appropriate for me to give a cat catnip?

I vaguely remember my vet mentioning something about the fact that its not good to give kittens cat nip until a certain age, so I've been buying only toys without catnip.
Gracie is about 6 months old, is this too young?

At around 4 months should be fine. Some kittens don't develop an interest in catnip until they are older.

I don't think there is any harm in giving a kitten catnip toys, as long as the catnip does not contain large pieces, stems etc.
