I'm so happy it's not cancer...YAY!!!! But I am sorry he has HL. As Traci points out, it needs very agressive treatment, even if he is eating on his own. But at least he is eating, that's a good sign!
I have some links too on Hepatic Lipidosis on my site you may be interested in. Tux will remain in my prayers for a thorough recovery. And thanks for caring so much about him!

I'm of course happy to hear the cancer test was negative! I'll keep a good thought and special prayer for Tux's other troubles and hope that the vet gets on the ball and becomes as OVERLY-concerned as we are!

I'm so glad there's no cancer! How wonderful!

I will keep you and Tux in my prayers that this HL will be controlled and that he will thrive! You're a great mommy for taking such good care of him. Please follow your heart with seeking good treatment plans, and if there are things that you worry about - ASK, ASK, and KEEP ASKING. If you wear out the vet with questions and he still doesn't answer them, find someone who will!

Lisa, I am sending the very best of wishes and lots of prayers for Tux...I am just reading this for the first time...I so glad it's not cancer but realize how serious this is also...I hope he will be ok and is doing better!!
