9 Yr Old cat's Post-Op situation

Post by Racerdude »

We just brought our 9 year old female cat home after a 3 1/2 day stay in the local vet hospital. She had to have emergency surgery for Pyometra and is doing very well. However, her 2 sisters (yes, they are from the same litter) now do nothing but hiss, swat, and shrink back from her. Is this a normal reaction to the separation? Should we keep the cat that had the operation isolated from the other 2 until her stitches are removed? Are there any other "post-op" suggestions?

could be from the anesthetic or disenfectant odors..keep them separated till the stitches come out then maybe time or a bath will solve the problem
