kitty poopy

I am hand raising a kitten, his mother did not want him. He is about 2 1/2 weeks old, i am having a problem with his pooping. He poops all over his self and everything, without a moments notice. His poop is normal, but i don't understand why he just goes everywhere. Other kittens i have had, I had to manually stimulate their butts with a wet rag, to make them go. If anyone can tell me what is wrong, or if i can help control it for him, plz let me know.

don't think there is mucvh you can do for now except keep the kitten cleaned as your are doing because that is a job the mother cat would be doing unti the kitten is old enough to control things....
