Help my cat in distress

Help my cat is in distress. I think she might have something caught in her throat or in her stomach. She tries to gag it up but nothing comes up. She has rapid movements in her stomach area as if he was shaking from being cold. The movement moves up and down very fast then stops then it moves up and down again and does this continually. It is not like the typical hair ball. I can't afford to take the cat to the vet and willing to try anything. I have given him some cat laxative and an antibiotic in case. What else should I try? Thanks
