Ok - he is about 9 years old, he just started this about a week ago, he exhibts no other symptoms, except that every night right about 3am or so he vomits up this slimy stuff that's colored the color of the food he ate but there is no food.
He gets 2 meals a day along with the rest of my kitties and does not throw up during the day at all - only at night and every night.
Any advice is welcome!
Thanks!
C.

Re: Kitty vomitting nightly
Vomiting can be indicative of many conditions. Here is a link that you should read:
http://consumer.vetmedcenter.com/Consum ... =8655&dt=p
It's too hard to pinpoint or even guess at what could be causing your kitty to vomit nightly, so please have him seen by your vet, just to be on the safe side. You might also want to look around and see if there's anything he may be getting into such as plants, cleaners or something he may be ingesting.
Hope there's nothing seriously wrong going on with him and please let us know how he is doing, ok?

Re: Kitty vomitting nightly
Read that and then some - was hoping someone had had a similar experience - it's just soooo strange that he eats 2 times a day and the only time he vomits is at night.
I will call the vet and ask - but right now I can't afford huge vet bills - I just spent 500 on one cat 3 months ago - rare foot issue, 1500 6 months ago on another of my cats urinary issue & another 2000 the year before for a hyperthyroid issue - you'd think I don't take care of them - but geez - this is sending me to the poor house.
Thanks though - just wish someone had a similar experience.

C, unfortunately, "similar experiences" do not mean same diagnoses, it is for this reason we suggest kitty is examined by your vet. Because he is 9 years of age, he is prone to a number of illnesses common with aging. If you haven't had a full blood panel done for him in the last year, now is the time to do so, to keep abreast of hidden health problems. Vomiting may be a symptom of an underlying disease, it's truly best to rule out other causes of illness before it escalates and causes a costlier problem later on.
