Help! My Cat was overdosed with Interferon!

My cat has not been feeling well, and the vet prescribed Interferon Alpha 30 ml every 24 hours and Amoxicillin 15 ml. My husband accidentially gave my cat a second dose of the Interferon. Am I to be concerned? Help needed immediately. Thank you for all that help!

Can you call your vet? Or maybe an emergency vet in your area? They might be able to tell you wether your cat is in any sort of danger or not.

I read your post and I have no experience in this area. If this were my cat, I would call an ER vet in your area and discuss what has happened as soon as possible. They can provide the guidance you need.

Call the nearest ER vet immediately ....watch for the following signs: fever, lethargy, myalgia (lamness or tenderness of muscles), myelotoxicity and possible allergic reactions. If your vet feels this might have been a too high dose, kitty might benefit from IV fluid therapy, only your vet can advise.
