heat sores i think

my cat sleeps near a heater every night and he recently developed little sores all over his body. They are very tiny but a lot gather in the same spots. Do you think it could be from the heat or could it be soemthing else?

Please get your kitty to your vet immediately, only your vet can tell you what this is, whether it is from a burn or something else entirely. Don't wait on this please!

If you feel the heater is too hot, make a comfy bed for your kitty elsewhere in a warm area, not directly at or on a heater.
