sick cat...no vet
sick cat...no vet
I live in the bush and I am having problems with my 9 month old cat. She has a clear jelly like discharge from her female parts and is rubbing her head and body all over the floor. Her back legs are made into fists. The symptoms seem to come and go. She is still eating.I got her for snake control on our farm but have adopted her as a house cat instead. There are no vets around here and dont want her in pain.please help
Re: sick cat...no vet
Has she been spayed? What do you mean by "her back legs are made into fists"?
If you can be more detailed, could maybe help further. Otherwise, there is no substitute for proper veterinary care, call around and speak to a vet on the phone if necessary.
Btw, most snakes are toxic, if your kitty is bitten by a snake, you could be facing some serious (and lethal) consequences. A snake bite can cause serious swelling and cut off air supply, not to mention anaphylactic shock, extreme allergic reaction, necrosis of vital skin and tissue, in which case, immediate veterinary attention is warranted. You should discuss this with your vet and have an emergency pack available for your pets (he can tell you what you should keep in the pack)
