Crying Cat
Crying Cat
I just had my 1 1/2 year old female cat de-clawed and moved inside, she walks around and cries alot. I have another cat so she is not lonely. What can I do? I also forgot to say that I do have pain medication for her and her paws are ok.
Re: Crying Cat
I am afraid it is too late to not have her declawed. She may be in pain , please check her paws and take her to the vet to determine if this is the reason for the crying.

Re: Crying Cat
i have had clients report this sort of action following any type of surgery , or even any hospital stay, i suspect it is more an anxiety process and usually passes in a day or so,,,when was the surgery...???

Re: Crying Cat
Poor kitty. It's heart wrenching when they cry, isn't it? Booker cries too. She started crying after her best friend in the whole world died (Maximus). She still cries for him. Sometimes I hear her at night crying for him. She just cries and hopes he answers. Poor thing, it breaks my heart. Your kitty could be crying because her feet still hurt. I would take her back to the vet just to make sure she isn't getting an infection. When was the surgery. If it was very recent, she could also be crying from the stress of the whole thing. Just being in the car is hard on some cats. HOWEVER, My mom's cat Tigger cried and limped for 2 months after being declawed. Of course, he only limped and whimpered when he knew we were watching. He milked it for all it was worth. If he caught us watching him, he'd immediately start limping and whimpering.

Hi there!
I am so sorry your cat is having a tough time!
This is not an anti-declay post, but how do you know your cat isn't in pain? She very well could be. The older the cat, the more weight is put on the paws. This is no doubt uncomfortable. Again, I am not judging you for declawing your cat. We declawed our cat after VARIOUS attempts to change her destructive clawing behaviors.....You name it we tried it.
Anyway, have your vet check her to make sure.
One more question....Is she fixed? If not, she could be in heat.
