Nurse_Jamie,
I am new to this site and have spent the last hour or so reading posts. While doing so, I came across a few of yours.
I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I really don't think you knew what you were getting yourself into before getting a kitten. Every single post you made about your kitten is negative (except your very first one when you first got your kitten).
You call your kitten bad and unruly. You advocate spanking your kitten. You admit that your husband doesn't like the kitten. You are mad at your kitten because it runs down the hallway. You keep your kitten confined to a laundry room. You are mad because your kitten is playing.
HELLO! Your kitten is a KITTEN! They are supposed to do these things! What did you think a kitten would do? Sit on your sofa and look pretty?
Yes, I know I am being harsh and I don't care. You are acting neurotic and foolish. Kindly don't give me that "well, I'm learning!" excuse. You can't learn common sense and it takes common sense to know that a kitten is going to play and act a bit crazy. And besides, you admitted that you had a kitten prior to this one.
Stop locking your poor kitten in your laundry room and RELAX. Right now is the most important time for you and your kitten to bond and you are wasting way too much negative energy on the little things. So, your kitten knocks your FAKE plant over. PICK IT UP AND MOVE ON. PLay with your kitten. Love your kitten. Appreciate your kitten.
If you can't come to terms with what it entails being a kitten owner, do yourself and especially that defenseless little kitten a favor and give it to someone who will appreciate it.
Denise
