New kitten
New kitten
Well, I think I now have a new kitten. Yes, a 5th cat. I really didn't plan or want another, but you know how that goes. We were out at Garden Ridge today and of course I see people trying to dig something out from under a pallett. I just HAD to ask and it was a kitten. My hubby helped me get it out (actually he did it) and we brought it home. She is very sweet once I can catch her. She will purr on my chest and go to sleep, but is still very scared and will not come to me on her own. What is the best way to integrate her into my 'cat family'? I am making an appt. with the vet tomorrow to get her checked out, dewormed, etc. For now, she is staying on my glassed in porch, away from the other cats. She has her own litter box, food and water. We estimate that she is probably 6-8 weeks old. As long as she checks out healthy, I'd really like to get her 'in' with the crew asap. When will she be able to do stairs well enough, that she won't fall? Our litter boxes are in our basement for the others. They have a cat door in our basement door that they use, but I know she isn't ready for that yet. Any help would be great!
