normal kitten behavior?
normal kitten behavior?
My 4 month old kitten who is the only fury feline friend in my house always needs attention... Whenever I am away, it "meow's" a lot and i cant stand his crying. Also, when i lock it in its room at night, he starts pounding it to get out.

thats normal, young kittens need lots of attention.J-SUN wrote:My 4 month old kitten who is the only fury feline friend in my house always needs attention...
that's confusing, when your away you cant stand his crying...how do you know he is crying? anyhow, he is just missing you probably.J-SUN wrote:Whenever I am away, it "meow's" a lot and i cant stand his crying.
why is he being locked at night? you mentioned he is the only cat in the house, should not be a need to lock him up.J-SUN wrote:Also, when i lock it in its room at night, he starts pounding it to get out.
your comments show signs of slight distain for this kitty at the very least. i would recommend exercising more patience and tolerance of his youthfulness and feline behaviors, he is a cat.
I agree with Jason's post, and kittens are very sensitive and will pick up on the slightest annoyance.
Kittens need a lot of attention, patience and love. I have a four month old kitten and a 5 year old female. They love each other, but if Chloe (4 mos) is in my daughter's room for the night she(Honeybun 5 year old) will call out, it is her way of saying I miss you. We do let them play at night together and during the day when we are home.
Try more interaction and let her sleep near you at night. This will help her feel loved and wanted. Kittens miss their Moms and sibling.
