Re: Thin kitty
Thanks for the reply, Traci. To answer your question...yes, the de-wormer is over-the-counter. I'm iffy about giving it to her because I'm not sure about her weight and I fear overdosing (or underdosing) her. My mom is the one pushing the de-wormer, though. Someone once suggested to me this cat migh...

Thin kitty
It's been a long time since I've been here. Hope everyone has been having a nice holiday. :) My question deals with my 12-year-old female cat who seems to have lost some weight off her already-petite frame. My female kitty Caspurr has always been a very petite and slender cat, save for her little fl...

Re: Cat with sore on her head
Thank you for the advice, Traci. I think she's doing okay now, though - whatever was on her head is no longer leaking. I assume it was some sort of abscess that has drained by itself and is on its way to healing.

Re: Humans allergic to cats
I have a friend who is very allergic to animal fur, and his mother has two dogs. He usually takes an inhaler and a bottle of Benadryl with him when he goes back home for the holidays. I second the allergy shots suggestion, although I do not know exactly how effective they are or how expensive they a...

Cat with sore on her head
I have a question about my cat Caspurr. She has a tendancy of itching her face and head rather hard for reasons I have yet to identify. I have ruled out allergies to her food and the tap water (contains rock salt) because she has been intaking both for a long time now with no problems. Anyway, last ...

Cat has lumps on her head
It's been a while since I've come here, but I'm just looking for a little advice or insight. I got a letter from my mother yesterday and she was telling me that my female cat Caspurr has got "warts" all over her head ("warts was the word my mom used). I don't know if she means actual ...

Re: Cat losing the hair on his belly
You don't say if your cat's entire belly has no hair, or just the lower part. Most cats can't lick their upper belly very well, and so if it's the entire area that is involved, it's probably not due to licking. It's only his lower belly where the hair is falling out. I can't really do much from her...

Cat losing the hair on his belly
Hey guys - it's been a long time since I've been here, and I was happy to see the board is still going strong. I return with a question about my cat, Rolly. When I returned home from college for holiday vacation, I noticed that Rolly had almost no hair on his belly. The area was not irritated in any...

Will my cats think I abandoned them?
I'm leaving for college tomorrow, and I most likely will not be back until Christmas time. I know my mom will care for my cats, like feeding them and cleaning their litter boxes, but she doesn't give them attention outside that - she won't pet them or cuddle with them. I worry they will feel neglect...

Cat seems to be sleeping more
Wow, it's been a while since I showed my face here, hasn't it? Anyway, I've come with concerns about my cat, Rolly and his recent sleeping habits. For about a week, Rolly has been sleeping a lot more, or at least laying around. He doesn't just flop over anywhere...he has two specific places that he ...
